Volunteer Application Form - RSPCA Darwin Regional Branch

Volunteer Positions

Lizzie

If you are interested in working with our animals at our shelter, please be aware that for safety and training purposes all new casual volunteers starting with us are required to first volunteer in our cattery. This allows us to ensure you are trained in a low risk environment in all of our animal care processes and procedures. From here, once we are confident in your skills and capabilities we can then look to begin to upskill you in other areas of our shelter including quarantine sections and with our dogs.

The RSPCA Darwin team at the shelter is seeking volunteers with exceptional customer service or administration experience, who have a passion for helping animals but from inside the office. Volunteers will be assisting with a variety of different tasks to support the small team in the office, from filing, data entry, running reports, and making sales. If you are confident with people, we would also train you in helping to process adoptions and help customers searching for their new best friend. This role is best suited to volunteers who enjoy being around people and are comfortable with administration tasks in an indoor setting.

The RSPCA Darwin is seeking passionate and dedicated events volunteers. Volunteers in our events team help us to plan, run and attend community events and fundraisers that are vital to raising the funds required to run, maintain and grow the shelter. As an event volunteer you can have a huge impact on our animals, even if you’re not on site with them.
