Event And Fundraising Volunteer - RSPCA Darwin Regional Branch

Event And Fundraising Volunteer

The RSPCA Darwin is seeking passionate and dedicated events volunteers. Volunteers in our events team help us to plan, run and attend community events and fundraisers that are vital to raising the funds required to run, maintain and grow the shelter. As an event volunteer you can have a huge impact on our animals, even if you’re not on site with them.

Our events volunteers must be over 18, and this position is best suited to those who are outgoing, confident and enjoy being out in their communities speaking to people. Given the nature of this role, most shifts will be on weekends or outside of opening hours.

What’s Involved

Induction sessions are twice a month for 2-3 hours, on a Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning, followed by orientation during your first shifts.

Due to the time taken to train and induct volunteers, we are seeking volunteers who are able to commit to a minimum of four hours (or one event) per month. The times of the events and requirements differ, but are often on Saturdays and Sundays.

You’ll be working under the guidance of an experienced Fundraising Coordinator, helping to coordinate and attend off-site adoption events, trivia nights, BBQs and minor fundraisers or community event stalls, all the way through to our big ticket events such as Million Paws Walk and Save the Paws Ball.
