RSPCA Darwin are currently seeking volunteers who would like to be part of helping get animals to and from the veterinary clinic, and in emergencies collect lost or injured animals to bring them to the shelter.
Working from our Berrimah Shelter (in a vehicle that we provide), your duties include scheduled trips to and from the veterinary clinic, plus emergency animal collections as the need arises.
We request a minimum commitment of one shift per week to help us plan the animal needs.
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 8.15am – 9.15am and 3pm – 4pm. Some flexibility is needed for when issues arise and trips may be slightly delayed.
Skills required –Manual driver’s license with a good driving record. Comfort handling large and small animals in stressed situations. Ability to take instruction, fill in paperwork, and a phone for being contacted.
