Owning a pet is incredibly rewarding, but can become very expensive. Even minor illnesses and injuries can become significant expenses, as veterinary care is not subsidized by the government like human medical care is.
One of the largest animal welfare issues that the RSPCA sees is people not being able to afford care for their injured or sick pet, and being forced to surrender or euthanase their family member, or leaving it in permanent pain by not getting appropriate treatment.
Make sure your pet is looked after, no matter what, by getting them insured. Just one medium-severity illness or injury often costs more than the annual premiums. Never have to choose between your pets’ life and paying your bills – get them insured!
