Volunteers are an integral part of our operations and roles vary, from animal related positions to administration and fundraising. We are constantly revising programmes and events to get the community more involved, and have a Volunteer Co-ordinator who manages our register of volunteers.
Volunteers are people who have a passion for animals and their welfare, and the RSPCA and its goals. We need their support to give the animals a better quality of life within the shelter, before finding a new home.
Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Gardening / Cleaning / Maintenance
Interested in gardening, cleaning, maintenance??
If you have a proven ability to be a quick learner and the skills to work unsupervised then we could really use you to do maintenance jobs, gardening and help the staff with cleaning duties!
EventsWe have regular events throughout the year such as sausage sizzles, craft fairs, major fundraising events, busy bees, small events that we always need volunteers for.
Are you interested in lending a hand to help us with our events???
AdministrationIt’s always such a great help to have someone answer the phones and with our limited opening hours, our answering machine is run off it’s feet.
Do you have some hours to spare during the day and have a fantastic phone manner with the general public?
Then come and join us and help us in our admin department.
